FragBank rules
Season 1: Monday 9 November 2026, 00:00 to Sunday 22 November 2026, 23:59, UK time. Back to the bank
What this is
FragBank is a pretend bank with play money, made by Jon Taylor for the jhhtaylor YouTube channel. FragBucks (₣) are worth nothing outside the game and can't be bought, sold or cashed out. The bank has bugs on purpose. Finding them is the game.
It's a personal project run by Jon Taylor, who you can reach at [email protected]. YouTube, LinkedIn, Amazon and Cloudflare have nothing to do with it and don't sponsor or endorse it.
How it works
Sign up with a username. Each time you play you get a run: 5 game days, about 7½ minutes, starting with ₣10 against nine bots. Your score is your net worth when the run ends, and your best run goes on the season's board. You can play as many runs as you like while the season is open. Each bug pays out once per player, and finding one before other players pays more.
There are no passwords. Your browser stays signed in, and the game shows you an account code. Screenshot it and keep it private: it's how you sign in on another device, and how you prove the account is yours if you win. If you lose both the browser's sign-in and the code, the account can't be recovered.
What's allowed
Anything you can do from the game page in your browser, as fast as you can click. That's the whole game. If you find a way to make money that isn't one of the five bugs, that counts too.
Not allowed:
- Scripts, bots or other programs sending requests to the game.
- Flooding the site, or anything that tries to slow it down or take it offline.
- Scanning or attacking the server, the hosting, Cloudflare, or anything that isn't the game page.
- More than one account per person.
Breaking these rules gets you removed from the board. Usernames that are offensive, or that pretend to be Jon or FragBank, may be renamed or removed.
Please don't post the bugs or how to find them while the season is open. It spoils the game for everyone else. Once it closes on 22 November, share whatever you like.
Prizes
Prizes depend on how many people finish at least one run by the time the season closes:
| Players | Prizes |
|---|---|
| 20 or more | Amazon vouchers: £15 for 1st, £10 for 2nd, £5 for 3rd |
| 5 to 19 | A £5 Amazon voucher for 1st |
| Fewer than 5 | No vouchers |
The top players get a shout-out in a video.
The winners are the highest best runs on the board when the season closes. If two scores are equal, the one set first wins. Entry is free, and winning comes down to how you play, not luck. If competitions like this aren't allowed where you live, you can still play but can't win a prize. The bots, Jon, and anyone who helped build or test FragBank can't win prizes.
Winners' usernames are announced on the jhhtaylor YouTube channel and Jon Taylor's LinkedIn after the season closes. To claim a prize, email [email protected] within 14 days with your username, your account code and the country you live in. Don't post the code publicly: anyone who has it can claim with it. The voucher is sent to the address you email from. A claim without the code can't be paid. Vouchers are for amazon.co.uk; winners outside the UK can have the same value on their local Amazon instead. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian needs to agree before you accept a prize. Jon's decision on winners is final.
Your data
FragBank keeps your username, a cookie that keeps you signed in, the time you agreed to these rules, and everything you do in the game. The game log is what lets the video replay how a bug was found. It also notes your country, whether you're on a phone or a computer, which site linked you here, and a scrambled code made from your network address that can't be turned back into the address. The code is only there to spot one person playing with several accounts. If you choose to leave an email or handle when you sign up, it's kept only so Jon can ask you about the video, and is never shown in the game or shared. Otherwise no email address is collected unless you win and claim a prize.
By signing up you agree that your username and scores may appear in YouTube videos and posts about the game. If you want your account deleted, email [email protected] with your username and account code. Videos that are already published can't be changed. Within three months of the season closing, the server and everything on it are deleted. Jon keeps an anonymous copy of the game data for videos: usernames are replaced with player numbers, and contact details, countries and the scrambled address codes are removed. Usernames and scores already shown in videos and posts stay there.
